PhotoMedia Equipment Store and Studios are open Mon - Fri between 9.00am - 4.30pm
All Equipment is to be picked up from the Equipment Store which is located on Level 2 of Building 6 (Room 2.19) adjacent to the Fabrication Workshop

Please be aware that our facilities and workshops have a 3-hour booking maximum

MediaLab GENERAL BOOKING ACCESS IS CLOSED OUT OF TEACHING SESSION.

TURNER LANE FASS PARKING PROCEDURE

Students/staff requiring access to Turner Lane to pickup/return equipment from the FASS Equipment Store are required to:

Email security.parking@uts.edu.au with at least 24 hours notice to request access prior to coming to campus. Students/staff are to provide the following details in the email:
- Full name / Student/staff number / Vehicle registration / Mobile number / date and exact times (duration of parking is always 30 minutes) for the Parking Permit to be issued.

Upon arrival at Turner Lane students/staff are to call Security on 9514 1192 to get the Turner Lane gates opened and then park in the Turner Lane FASS Parking Space.

After parking immediately proceed to check-in to the building or swipe in with your student card. Please provide the UTS Security team with evidence of your equipment booking if requested.


STUDENT CARD SECURITY ACCESS TO FACILITIES

Access is based on your current subject enrolment

If you find your card access is not working:

Check your current subjects have FASS lab, edit suite, sound studio etc access
Report the problem to the UTS Student Centre who will check your enrolment is correctly set up

If you wish to enter the Digital MakerSpace, please follow below the rules below. NO EXCEPTIONS.

You will be quizzed prior to ANY Digital MakerSpace Inductions.
Digital Makerspace Resources

Please note you will be issued 1 demerit point if you:

  • Do not attend your bookings or LATE for more than 30 mins for any bookings.
  • Intentionally using banned/toxic material in Digital MakerSpace.
  • Use USB or external device on any computers in Digital Makerspace.
  • Leave your machine running unattended.

IMPORTANT: Please note that you will be issued with 3 demerit points/suspended immediately if you:

  • Operate any equipment without complete an induction.
  • Intentionally not paying for material or/and machine time.
  • Intentionally damage or take works of others.
  • Intentionally damage equipment.
